About Vascular Age

Vascular age is the age of a person with optimal risk factors (non-smoker, TC 160–199, HDL 50–59, SBP <120 untreated, no diabetes) who has the same 10-year CHD risk as the patient. This reframes risk as an intuitive "heart age" — helping patients understand the impact of their modifiable risk factors.
