Statin Intensity Reference
- High Intensity (~50% LDL reduction): Atorvastatin 40-80 mg, Rosuvastatin 20-40 mg
- Moderate Intensity (~30-49% LDL reduction): Atorvastatin 10-20 mg, Rosuvastatin 5-10 mg, Simvastatin 20-40 mg, Pravastatin 40-80 mg
- Low Intensity (~30% LDL reduction): Simvastatin 10 mg, Pravastatin 10-20 mg, Lovastatin 20 mg, Fluvastatin 20-40 mg
Notes
- Reductions are applied multiplicatively — each add-on therapy reduces the remaining LDL after prior therapies, not the original baseline.
- PCSK9 inhibitors and Inclisiran both target the PCSK9 pathway and should not be combined. If both are selected, only the PCSK9 inhibitor reduction (55%) is applied.
- Individual patient responses may vary. These are average expected reductions based on clinical trial data.
